Exodus 16:18 When they measured it by quarts, the person who gathered a lot had no surplus, and the person who gathered a little had no shortage. Each gathered as much as he needed to eat. 19 Moses said to them, “No one is to let any of it remain until morning.” 20 But they didn’t listen to Moses; some people left part of it until morning, and it bred worms and stank. Therefore Moses was angry with them.
Luke 12:16 Then he told them a parable: “A rich man’s land was very productive. 17 “He thought to himself, ‘What should I do, since I don’t have anywhere to store my crops? 18 “I will do this,’ he said. ‘I’ll tear down my barns and build bigger ones and store all my grain and my goods there. 19 “Then I’ll say to myself, “You have many goods stored up for many years. Take it easy; eat, drink, and enjoy yourself.” ’ 20 “But God said to him, ‘You fool! This very night your life is demanded of you. And the things you have prepared — whose will they be? ’ 21 “That’s how it is with the one who stores up treasure for himself and is not rich toward God.”
There are many many missionaries that God took care of all their life, like Corrie Ten Boom, she didn’t have a retirement fund to help her at the end of her life, just as God took care of her finances when she stopped asking people for money, God took care of her retirement, her last days.
God is asking us to trust Him. Where should our money be invested in? In heaven. Jesus said give to the poor and we will have treasure in heaven Matthew 19:21. The stock of heaven will never fall.
Jesus said, focus on building God’s kingdom and all the finances we need will be provided. Matthew 6:33.
God’s word proves true and has never fail, let us live according to His word and not store up treasure on earth for our “retirement” instead be spent for others to be blessed and for others to draw close unto Jesus.
